Coverage overlap

Ceaselist's broker contact data started from Optery's public broker directory, so every broker Ceaselist emails is also in Optery's directory. Broker counts are measured differently by each service (some count parent companies, some count individual websites), so a bigger number isn't automatically better coverage.

Choose Optery if

  • You live in the US or one of the other countries Optery lists.
  • You want a free exposure scan and screenshots showing each listing before and after removal.
  • You need people-search listings removed through web forms.

Choose Ceaselist if

  • You live in the UK or EEA and want requests made under UK GDPR or GDPR, with ICO escalation.
  • You want a UK company as your named agent and every broker reply in one place.
  • Price: £29 a year including VAT.

How Ceaselist works

  1. You tell us who you are and choose which details each type of broker may see.
  2. You sign an authority so brokers know we act for you; they can check it through a private link.
  3. We email erasure and objection requests under UK GDPR or GDPR to 668 brokers that accept requests by email, in UK office hours, over about two weeks.
  4. We read every reply: push back on "use our form" and ID demands, remind brokers who miss the one-month deadline, and give you an ICO complaint pack if they still ignore you.
  5. We send requests again every 90 to 180 days, because brokers re-collect data.
